What Poki Games is

This is a catalogue, not a store and not a launcher. Every title runs inside the page, on the device you are already holding. You open a game, press play, and it starts; nothing is downloaded and no account is involved.

The point of a catalogue this size is getting you out of it quickly. Categories sit in the rail on the left and search reaches any title by name. When nothing in particular comes to mind, Surprise me picks one for you. Before you commit, the game page says how it is controlled, whether it works on a phone, who published it and whether it shows adverts.

We do not host the games. Each one is embedded from the page its publisher runs it on, under terms that allow it, and the source is named on the game page. If a title stops working or does not belong here, the Report button takes it off the shelf while we check.

Questions people ask

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up on Poki Games and no login screen anywhere on the site. Open a game and press play.

Is it free?

Yes. Every game in the catalogue is free to play, and nothing on this site asks for a card.

Do I have to download or install anything?

No. These are HTML5 games: they run inside the browser tab you already have open. Nothing is installed on your machine, and there is no launcher or plugin to add first.

Do the games work on a phone?

Many of them do. Games built for touch are collected under Mobile games, and every game page has a Mobile row that says yes or no before you start it. Games that need a keyboard are marked desktop only.

A game will not load. What should I do?

Press Try again first. A game is loaded from its publisher, and a slow or failed response is usually temporary. If it still refuses, check whether an ad blocker or a strict privacy setting is blocking third-party frames, because that stops most games from starting. If neither helps, use the Report button on the game page and we will look at it.

Where do the games come from?

From the people who made them. We do not host game files: each of the 37,667 entries is embedded from the publisher's own page, and the game page names the source and the terms it is published under.

Is my progress saved?

That is up to the game. Games that save do it in your browser's own storage, so progress stays on the device you played on and disappears if you clear your browsing data. Recently played and Favourites work the same way: they live in this browser and are never sent to us.

Is the site safe for children?

The catalogue is built around puzzle and arcade games, with a lot of casual titles alongside them, and adult content is kept out. There is no age check, though, and the games come from outside publishers, so we cannot promise every screen suits every age. If you find something that should not be here, the Report button on the game page is the fastest way to tell us.

Do the games show adverts?

This site loads no advertising of its own. Games from our distribution feed do show adverts inside their own frame, which is how their publishers are paid, while a smaller hand-checked set carries none at all. The Advertising row on each game page tells you which of the two you are about to open.
